PD6547:2004 + A1:2009, Guidance on the use of BS EN 40-3-1 and BS EN 40-3-3 Corrections.
For some while it has been known that there are errors within the current PD6547 document. The proposal has been to correct these when the document comes up for review but at the last review this opportunity was lost. Since then there has been desire to carry out a more extensive review and include other aspects of design such as flanges. This rather more extensive review requires a business case to be put forward which is currently being considered.
Until the business case for the update of PD6547 is approved by The British Standards Institute the following should be considered when using the document.

2. Coventry is included under the West Midlands and should therefore be removed from the Warwickshire & Coventry administrative area.
Mean Hourly wind Speed Vref should read 10 minute mean wind speed Vref.
